The primary downtown Alpharetta attractions are the great restaurants, shops, breweries and bars. Below you will find what locals know are the best downtown Alpharetta restaurants.

For those unfamiliar, Alpharetta is one of the best Atlanta suburbs for living, working and playing. It is home to some of the best schools in the state and has a large technology employment base.

The downtown Alpharetta city center is the place to play, and is home to many great restaurants. The ones listed below are the restaurants within walking distance to downtown Alpharetta.

The one thing I will admit, it is really hard to put together a 10 best list for downtown Alpharetta. There are so many great restaurants in the area. I may extend this list to 15 or more down the road.

Lapeer

If you are looking for either steak, seafood or a little of both, Lapeer is a great option if you are looking for a fine dining experience or a great date night restaurant in Alpharetta.

The prices on some of their steaks can really break the bank, but they are cooked to perfection and you can add some wonderful toppings and sides.

The seafood is where their roots of the restaurant are. Whether you are in the mood for oysters on the half shell, a lobster roll or some decadent scallops.

Citizen Soul

Inspired by the Pacific Northwest, yet blends well with southern tastes, Citizen Soul is a great place to relax with co-workers over happy hour, while enjoying handmade cocktails and amazing appetizers or on a date night.

The outside patio is wonderful place to enjoy the food and watch downtown Alpharetta come alive in the evenings.

Coalition

From the owners of some of our favorite downtown Roswell Restaurants like Table and Main and Osteria Mattone, comes this American style restaurant concept.

There is plenty of delicious bar food, but I usually end up enjoying a great steak. Gather your friends and enjoy a night out!

Made Kitchen and Cocktails

This restaurant is a short walk from downtown Alpharetta, but their is parking on site. Made is great location for enjoying Tapa’s and cocktails made with fresh ingredients, even homemade bitters.

The interior ambience is one of my favorites. It features an industrial design with hanging lamps and shutters reclaimed from a Jim Beam distillery.

Made has a lot to offer for a date night or an evening out with friends.

Pure Taqueria

Pure Taqueria

Pure Taqueria is one of the my favorite small Mexican chains in Atlanta. They specialize in preparing amazing taco’s, including some of the best birria taco’s in the metro Atlanta area that I have tasted.

They have a great selection of taco’s, amazing margarita’s and each location has something a little unique. Alpharetta’s Pure is just a short walk from downtown Alpharetta or Wills Park and has a nice neighborhood feel.

You can either park right at Pure or walk down Rowell Street from the downtown Alpharetta area.

Jekyll Brewing City Center

Jekyll Brewing City Center is a great stop for sharing appetizers, like their giant pretzel. It’s so good. My favorite is the smash burger while sampling the brews.

The location features a huge taproom and a rooftop deck where the upstairs taproom was created out of an Airstream RV bus.
