About the Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail

The Eastside Trail is one section, about 3 miles in length, of the planned total 22 mile Atlanta Beltline. The Atlanta Beltline is under construction, but the Eastside trail is one of the competed sections.

This trail, is one of the best paved bike trails in Atlanta!

Why, you ask?

While this section is only 3 miles long, there are plenty of things to see and do.

The redevelopment along the trail is apparent. You will see many new restaurants, bars and breweries overlooking the trail.

It also interconnects many other trails, so the option to extend the length is available to you.

Not to mention, along the trail you will find some interesting and fun artwork.

What To Expect

The trail is 10 to 14 feet wide in some sections. While this may seem wide, each time my family visited the trail, there were a lot of people using this trail.

If safety is a concern, there is plenty of lighting along the trail. There are also video camera’s with integration to Atlanta’s Police Department video integration center.

Definitely bring sunscreen. Depending on the time of day you visit, the trail might have some shade. However, during peak sunshine hours you should expect full sun.
