No matter where you live in Atlanta, you are probably closer than you think to a great skatepark.
These skateparks near Atlanta can vary a bit in atmosphere. There are historic skateparks in downtown Atlanta, indoor skateparks and even suburban skateparks, that are located inside large sports and recreation areas.
No matter your style, here are some of the the best skateparks in and around Atlanta.

Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark
Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward
The Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark is located next to the Eastside trail of the Atlanta Beltline in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood in downtown Atlanta.
This skatepark is not far from the Freedom Park Trail which takes you all the way to the Freedom Parkway and the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum.
This skate park opened in 2011 and featured Tony Hawk at the opening ceremony.
The Historic Four Ward Skatepark is located in Atlanta at 830 Willoughby Way NE, Atlanta, GA 30312
Arthur Langford Jr. Skate Park
Neighborhood: Joyland
Not far from the Southside trail along the Atlanta Beltline, the Arthur Langford Jr. Skatepark is located in south Atlanta. This is Atlanta’s second official skatepark operated as an Atlanta park.
If you are wondering, the park was named after Arthur Langford Jr. who was a member of city council and a Georgia Senator.

The Village Skatepark ATL
Neighborhood: Bankhead
The Village Skatepark ATL is an non-profit, indoor skatepark in the Bankhead neighborhood in Atlanta. This a family run skatepark and it is one of the only skateparks in Atlanta that is indoor.
There are monthly memberships and day passes available.
The Village Skatepark ATL is located at 1060 Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy NW, Atlanta, GA 30318.
McKoy Skatepark
Neighborhood: Decatur
The McKoy skatepark is located inside of the McKoy Park in Decatur. The entire park is situated on 9 acres and offers plenty of sports activities and a playground.
The skatepark had a large renovation project approved in 2022, with the final designs being finished in 2023.

Brook Run Skate Park
Neighborhood: Dunwoody
Brook Run Park is a large park with plenty to offer. The park is over 100 acres and there are trails, sports fields, playgrounds and even a community garden.
Inside the park, you will find the largest skatepark in the Atlanta area. It offers terrain for beginners, although there is plenty of area for advanced skaters.

Hapeville Skate Park
Located in John Lewis Memorial Park in the city of Hapeville, is a relatively new skate park in the southside of Atlanta. This park was previously known as Master Park.
The skatepark was built in 2020.
There is a kidney shaped bowl and a relatively compact, with plenty of rails.

Riverdale Skatepark
The Riverdale Skatepark is a 7,000 square feet skatepark inside Riverdale Regional Park. This skatepark was built in 2017.
The skatepark is great for beginners, yet can still be fun for more advanced skaters.
The park also features a sports field and a playground.

Douglas County Skate Park
Located in Deer Lick Park in Douglasville, there is a skatepark with plenty of rails and ramps to practice on.
It is great for the novice to intermediate skater.
Deer Lick Park has plenty of other things to do like a dog park, disc golf, athletic fields and tennis.

Kennesaw Skate Park
This is a large, 40,000 square feet skate park located inside the Swift Cantrell Park.
There is a fun street style course and two deep bowls. Skaters of all levels will enjoy this park.
The park also features walking trails, playground and a dog park.
The Kennesaw Skatepark is located at 3140 Old 41 Hwy NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144
