Getting To Riverside Park in Roswell

The Riverside Park is located off of Riverside Drive, just a mile down Highway 9 (Atlanta St) from downtown Roswell and the Roswell Town Square. It is just across the street from the secondary parking lot to the Vickery Creek Trail that is available from Riverside Drive.

The parking lot is very large and I have never seen it completely full except during concert events. There is a gravel overflow lot just down the street for event parking.

Play Grounds

There are three distinct areas of playgrounds and are broken up by the size of the equipment and slides. It really helps to separate the bigger kids from the smaller kids and toddlers to give everyone there own space.

Outdoor Stage and Roswell Riverside Sounds

There is a large outdoor stage with plenty of greenspace to bring your blanket or lawn chairs.

There are free concerts available the fourth Saturday of the month, starting May 2022, from 7:00-9:00 PM. You can check the concert schedule here.

I know someone is thinking it… Yes, you can bring coolers, food and even alcohol. If you forget, food and drinks are available from food trucks or the concession stand.

Fishing Docks/River Access

Just past the outdoor stage is a short path/boardwalk that provides access to the view or fish in the river.

Trails

Around the park you are free to run, walk or ride bikes. If you want to go for a longer walk or run, the trails interconnect with the Roswell Riverwalk Boardwalk trail that is perfect to extend your exercise. This Riverwalk path and boardwalk offer about 7 miles of walking or biking with little elevation change, which is wonderful change living in Atlanta.
