Overlooking many of the best restaurants in downtown Alpharetta, city hall and panoramic views over all of Alpharetta, Up On The Roof is a premiere destination for food or drinks in Alpharetta.
You can have a cocktail anywhere, why not enjoy views with a setting sunset?
On thing we love is enjoying sweeping views from the best rooftop bars in Atlanta.
We visited Up On The Roof for the second time for drinks, whilst meeting up with friends. Thankfully, the weather was much warmer this time. Huddling around the fireplace was not required.
We did not dine here, unfortunately. Perhaps I will update this post with a review of the food, once we try it. The menu at Up On The Roof looks great. Unique, elevated bar fare.
Up On The Roof(top) and Location In Alpharetta
Managing to get to the rooftop is part of the fun. The first time we were trying to get on the rooftop, we thought we would need to enter Taffer’s Tavern, which is situated on the ground floor.
This is not required.
On the side of the building next to Smokejack, you will find an elevator that takes you all the way to Up On The Roof.
I ordered a bourbon, but every whiskey glass was dirty and in the dishwasher.
It was crowded on the rooftop this evening!
Good thing there are plenty of brews from our favorite Atlanta Breweries on tap. I settled on one of my favorites, a Draft Kilt from Monday Night Brewing. It was on the house due to the inconvenience. How nice!
The bar can be accessed from inside the restaurant or from outside on the rooftop.
The rooftop deck is partially covered if the weather doesn’t cooperate. Also, you can just head inside.
Overall, we had a great time for happy hour at Up On The Roof in Alpharetta, before our dinner at Lapeer.
Visiting Up On The Roof
Parking in Downtown Alpharetta is a breeze. Right behind Up on the Roof is a parking lot (where they occasionally have food trucks.) This lot is the closest, but is usually full.
Parking is available at the deck at 92 Milton Ave, Alpharetta, GA 30004. This is your best option if you can’t find street parking.
