Historic Woodstock, Georgia is a growing Atlanta suburb. The main street in Woodstock features shops, breweries and many restaurants. We were in the area for kids sports, so we decided to try the Salt Factory Pub in Woodstock.

This is not our first experience at a Salt Factory Pub. Years ago we would frequent the location in Roswell, and we think it is one of the best downtown Roswell restaurants for dinner or drinks. We also visited the location in Alpharetta numerous times and the food was consistent with Roswell.

We know we like the concept and the food, so we thought we would enjoy outside dining at the location on Woodstock’s Main Street.

This meal was just me and the kids, for lunch after sports.

Salt Factory Pub Restaurant in Woodstock

Salt Factury Pub in Woodstock is located on the main street in historic Woodstock. There is a parking lot just in front of the restaurant. If you miss the turn like I did, there is a parking lot next to Mad Life Stage and Studio’s where you can park, but I received a dirty look from the spa owner for parking there.

It was a hot, summer day in Georgia, but our meal was pleasant while sitting under cover in the shade with the fans blowing. We sat and ate while enjoying the comings and goings of folks who happen to wonder the Woodstock streets on a weekday.

Inside, there wasn’t much going on. The Salt’s we have been to before are usually noisy and crowded, but apparently that is not on Tuesday around 11:30.

The restaurant was similar in layout to the other Salt Pub’s we have been too.

The Salt concept has an English Pub feel to it. I love the cozy booths, dim lighting and of course the exposed brick walls. It’s upscale for a gastropub, yet rather welcoming and homey.

The service at the restaurant was flawless for our visit.

Salt Factory Pub Food

My go to item at Salt is the Blue Burger. I love it. However, I am trying to eat healthier. I decided to try the Salt Factory Salad. I can’t say if it is actually healthier than the burger, but it was one of the best salad’s I’ve had in a while.

Salt Factory Salad with Salmon

I added grilled salmon to the salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly. It wasn’t like a frozen piece of salmon, cooked fast and thrown on top of a salad. It complemented everything on the salad and made the dish.

The other component I loved was the crostini with goat cheese spread on top. I actually at the crostini first, even though I was going to set it aside and not eat it to attempt to be healthy. I took one nibble and ended up devoured the entire piece of bread.

My youngest child had the pizza from the kids menu and the other one ordered a cheese burger. The pizza was rather large and my son usually eats one piece and says he is full. Today he managed to eat four pieces. It must have been pretty good pizza.
