Set parallel to the Chattahoochee River, The Roswell Riverwalk is a multi-use trail and boardwalk with epic views of the river.
Along the way the riverwalk connects many of the parks along the Chattahoochee River and is even accessible from the Chattahoochee Nature Center.
One of the best parts of the trail is that it is flat making it great for walking, jogging, biking or even pushing a stroller.
Trail Summary:
- Activities: Walking, Running, Biking
- Stroller Friendly: Yes
- Type: Out and back.
- Dog Friendly: Yes, on leash
- Distance: under 7 miles
Roswell Riverwalk Trail Details and Map
The trail is part cement and part boardwalk, with composite deck boards.
Part of the trail is wooded, but most of the trail is on the banks of the river and along the road. You will be sun exposed and hear some occasional road noise. Plan ahead if it is a hot and sunny day.
There are plenty of benches and lookout spots with picnic tables, lending perfect spots for a snack with a view.
While on the trail, you will have generous views of the Chattahoochee River and see plenty of wildlife. My kids love all the minnows and tadpoles by the rivers edge.
Riverwalk Boardwalk Start and End Points
This is an out and back trail. You could start from Willeo Park, or at the end where Riverside Road intersects with Eves Road. In between, there are many other parking lots along the trail.
There is a very small parking lot for Willeo Park, yet it offers a great place to start the trail, and there is very easy river access from this park.
Roswell Riverwalk Parking
Parking is available from any one of these Roswell Park locations:
- Willeo Park
- Riverside Park
- Azelea Park
- Don White Memorial Park
- Roswell Underpass Park
There are also a couple spots along the road with gravel extension for a few spots, but don’t park on the road. There are many no parking signs.
