Located in the Crabapple neighborhood of Milton, GA is Campania’s second location. Years ago, I used to frequent Campania in Alpharetta when it was close to work. This pizza, when eaten in the restaurant, is some of the best in the area. The food quality here makes it one of the best restaurants in Milton.

It didn’t surprise me to find out that the Crabapple location follows the same playbook as the original. It features high quality ingredients sourced from Italy and a very hot, 900 degree wood burning oven which makes the perfect Neapolitan style pizza.

For whatever reason, this style pizza doesn’t resonate with my little kids as much as Papa John’s. Yes, they actually reminded me of this. Yet for adults, this is a top quality indulgence.

Campania Milton Location

The location of the Campania in Milton has turned over a few times in the past. The restaurant sits on the sleepier side of the road, across from Olde Blind Dog.

We arrived early on a Friday night, around 5pm without a reservation. We were able to get a table after waiting a few minutes. Most of the tables were reserved and by the time we finished eating, the place was packed. I thought reservations were silly for pizza place, but the secret is out, the food is quite good.

There are two things I love about the restaurant. First, it has a large bar. This is perfect spot for last minute dining and a great place to meet up with neighbors after a long work day. Second, there is a large outdoor patio to extend the dining area.

The Food At Campania

I split a salad with my wife to start the meal. We decided on the Carciofo salad, which has mixed greens, artichokes, lemon dressing and shaved parmigiano reggiano cheese. This is just a really clean and fresh tasting salad.

For the main course, I opted for the Bolognese pasta. It came with a fun twirled pasta and of course some of that delicious bread. The sauce is a traditional Bolognese sauce. It was very good, but I will always order the pizza going forward. It is just so unique.

We ordered two pizza’s for the family. One was a basic marinara pizza. This is just a basic, but fantastic tasting pizza.

The other pizza we ordered, I must not have taken a picture of. It was a spicy pizza with peppers and various meats. Very good too.
