There is nothing better than day drinking at a beer garden in the beginning of spring with the sun warming you up or when it starts to finally cool off and the leaves are falling in October in Atlanta.
A beer garden is fun for good reason. They are a mixture of beer, friends and outside.
What could be better?
Good thing there are plenty of options for beer gardens in the Atlanta area. Some of these beer gardens even made it into our list of great breweries in Atlanta.

Der Biergarten
Neighborhood: Centennial Park District, Downtown Atlanta
If you love a dunkel, pilsner or hefeweizen, you can not go wrong visiting Der Biergarten. The theme is definitely German beer garden. The primarily German food selection is delicious as well. Currently they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Usually the place closes around 9pm at the time of writing.

Wild Heaven West End Brewery and Garden
Neighborhood: West End Atlanta
Wild Heavens location in the west end has a large garden to enjoy their freshly brewed beers outside. In their west end location they have a menu with traditional bar food. Their beers are great, you will commonly find Emergency Drinking Beer at my home poolside.

Red’s Beer Garden
Neighborhood: Grant Park
If you are into the local Atlanta craft beer scene, you will not be disappointed by the beer selection of the beer garden in Atlanta. They have many on draft and a large selection of beer by the bottle. If you are hungry, they have appetizers, hot dogs and sandwiches.

Tucker Brewing Company
Neighborhood: Tucker
Tucker Brewing has a beer garden that was named the fourth best in the US by USA today readers. Understandably so, the beer garden has everything you could want from a family run brewery. It has an open play space for kids, you can bring your dogs, it has TV’s if there is a game on and it even has a small stage for live music.
The best of all, its covered for the very sunny Atlanta days.

Bold Monk Brewery
Neighborhood: Upper Westside
Bold Monk Brewing Company is a unique brewery with a gorgeous indoor brew pub and outdoor beer garden. The beer garden is simple, yet lush. Enjoy your delicious brews from the picnic tables (with seat backs!) under the lights and amongst the dense foliage. Unfortunately when we stopped by it was raining. Beer gardens are no fun in the rain!

Georgia Beer Garden
Neighborhood: Downtown Atlanta
This unique location was once a peanut factory and veteranrian hospital. Now it is serving up dozens of pints from local breweries to be enjoyed outside the beer garden in downtown Atlanta.

New Realm Brewing Company
Neighborhood: Poncey-Highland
Located along the Eastside Beltline Trail in the Poncey Highland neighborhood, this brewery has plenty of outdoor space. There is a beer garden in the front patio space and a rooftop bar overlooking the Atlanta skyline.

Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall
Neighborhood: Old Fourth Ward
A great spot to stop for a bite and a beer in this wonderful garden along the BeltLine’s Eastside Trail, at mile marker 9.25. Enjoy a cocktail or try some brews from their featured brewery.

Barley Garden Kitchen and Craft Beer
Neighborhood: Alpharetta
Located in the Avalon of Alpharetta, you will find and large selection of local and international brews on tap. Take a load off after a long day shopping at the Avalon and treat yourself to a brew and bite. Due to the mall location, this isn’t a traditional garden, but there is ample outside drinking on the rooftop.

From The Earth Brewing Company
Neighborhood: Roswell
If you are looking for something a little different from your outdoor bar, From the Earth is offering outdoor concerts directly behind the brewery. Check their schedule for upcoming concerts.
Truck and Tap
Neighborhood: Multiple
With three locations around metro Atlanta, Truck and Tap is an indoor/outdoor concept with rotating food trucks that stop in. They have dozens of beer on draft from all over, but features many local brews as well.
Truck and tap has locations in Alpharetta, Woodstock and Duluth.

Reformation Brewery in Woodstock
Neighborhood: Woodstock
Enjoy the Reformation brewery is located in historic downtown Woodstock. The brewery serves up over a dozen brews, with many specialty options you can’t find in store. While in Woodstock, be sure to check out the brewery and Quennie’s next door
