Chicken wings in Atlanta can be enjoyed out at the bar, watching the Falcons on Sundays or even for take out, while hosting parties at home. Come to think of it, I may order some for the Atlanta United game this weekend. The occasions for great chicken wings are endless.
If there is one thing Atlanta knows, it’s how to cook chicken, whether its fried or smoked. The best, in my humble opinion, are done both ways.
So where can you find some of the best wings in Atlanta?
There are many great places to find wings around Atlanta. I will start by sharing some of my favorite locations, please share yours below in the comments
Map of The Best Chicken Wings In and Around Atlanta
Fox Bros BBQ
Neighborhood: Candler Park
1238 DeKalb Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307
404-577-4030
Fox Bros BBQ needs no introduction, that is, if you’ve been around Atlanta long enough. These hickory smoked wings, tossed in their homemade sauce are amazing.
The skins are crispy and the meat is extremely tender, yet it doesn’t just fall off the bone. They are about the close to perfectly cooked wings that one could ask for.
You have the option to order them with a dry rub or sauced. Go for the sauced if you love a spicy BBQ wing sauce like I do. It’s not like traditional hot wings, but this style wing is my favorite.
Tandoori Pizza and Wing
Neighborhood: Midtown Atlanta
1197 Peachtree St NE Suite 150, Atlanta, GA 30309
xxx-xxx-xxxx
Located in Colony Square, just down the street from the Atlanta Botanical Garden and Piedmont Park. This restaurant combines wings, pizza and Indian spices. It really serves up some delicious wings.
Poor Hendrix
Neighborhood: East Lake
2371 Hosea L Williams Dr SE bldg 2, Atlanta, GA

We always love supporting folks who help animals live their best life. Even though these chicken wings are not always on the menu, as the menu changes, they are sure to wow you. While not traditional hot wings, these sticky sesame wings are delicious. Ether call ahead or check out their website to see if they are on the menu before planning your trip.
B&L Wings
Neighborhood: West Midtown
800 Forrest St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
678-822-2584
B&L should be ashamed of themselves, their wings are too good! While many people I talked to loved the original, breaded wings. I preferred the Hot Honey Lemon Pepper wings. Utterly delicious.
Brew and Bird
Neighborhood: Decatur
1355 Clairmont Rd, Decatur, GA 30033
404-205-5566
Their wings are so good, even the AJC took notice and ranked them 3rd best in Atlanta, behind some of the usual suspects. These wings are large, crispy and juicy.
The Albert
Neighborhood: Inman Park
918 Austin Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30307
404-843-1233
Enjoy the wings indoors watching football on Sundays or outdoor on the patio. Their food is fantastic and the location is a quality neighborhood pub venue.
Clays Sports Cafe
Neighborhood: Sandy Springs
5975 Roswell Rd D- 245, Atlanta, GA 30328

These wings are highly rated. I’ve been snacking on them for years when taking a break from work. If you venture OTP, definitely stop by Clays, you won’t be disappointed with their wings.
Sweet Auburn BBQ
Neighborhood: Poncey-Highlands
656 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306
678-515-3550
While the BBQ is great, these smoked wings are amazing and consistently cooked to perfection. The only negative is sometimes parking can be a challenge.
Go for the Wu Tang wings. It is a blend of Thai chili, Sriracha and BBQ spices. Spicy for some people, but rather outstanding.
DBA BBQ
Neighborhood: Virginia Highland
1190 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30306

DBA BBQ make some killer wings in our favorite style. That is, smoked and flash fried. Really, it doesn’t matter what sauce you choose, you will enjoy them.
JR Crickets
Neighborhood: Downtown Atlanta
16 Park Place South Se, Atlanta, GA 30303
404-228-0008
No list of the best wings in Atlanta is complete without mentioning JR Crickets. The fan favorite is Lemony Pepper. This is the Original location. There are multiple locations around the city.
The Local
Neighborhood: Virginia Highland
758 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30306
404-873-5002
The Local is a dive bar in Atlanta in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood. The bar is known for battling for the best Karaoke on Monday nights, good beer selection and good chicken wings. The locals know, these are some of the best wings in Atlanta. My favorite wings the spicy Korean lemon pepper, but there are so many good ones to try.
Rumi’s Kitchen
Location: Multiple
These are not your traditional bar room wings. Rumi’s Kitchen wings are marinated in a spicy lemon saffron sauce. I really didn’t expect a dry wing like this to layer on the heat. They were grilled to perfection and had a pleasant char to them. The wings are served dry, however they come with a side of a spicy sauce if you really want to turn up the heat.
