Enjoying a night out at a steakhouse is an American tradition. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or are just craving a prime cut of beef, a great steakhouse will never disappoint. Below, you will find some incredible options for finding your ideal steak.
There are no large steakhouse chains on this list. You already know Ruth Chris, Mortons, Capital Grill and others. We are only featuring local steakhouses to Atlanta.
I hope you agree, a steakhouse is one of my favorite meals out is when we go for fine dining in Atlanta. We truly are blessed with many amazing Atlanta restaurants where you can find impeccable service and a great cut of steak. Most of these steakhouses are the best in Georgia!

Neighborhood: West Midtown Atlanta
While named after the French fighter Marcel Cerdan, fighting is not what this restaurant is all about. It is a toast to the classics. Steaks and seafood created with classic techniques. Expect fantastic steaks cooked to perfection.

Bones Restaurant
Neighborhood: Buckhead
If you are looking for great steaks and seafood, Bones is a great option in Buckhead and consistently ranks as one of the best steakhouses in the Atlanta area. The service is impeccable.

Little Alley Steak
Neighborhood: Buckhead & Roswell
With two locations in metro Atlanta, one in Roswell and one in Buckhead, Little Alley Steak prepares delicious steaks. This is one of the best Roswell restaurants. Even Forbes agrees, this is one of the best 100 steakhouses in America.

Chops & Lobster Bar
Neighborhood: Buckhead
If you’ve lived in Atlanta you probably have heard about Chops. The are consistently named one of the best steakhouses in the country. They also have some great seafood options, but for me, the steak is where its at. Or go for the Surf and Turf, you can add a 7oz lobster tail to your steak, for additional cost.

Parker’s on Ponce
Neighborhood: Decatur
If you are looking for a date night restaurant with great food and customer service, Parker’s is a great option in downtown Decatur. Parker’s offers both prime or choice cuts of beef to allow for any budget.

Hal’s “The Steakhouse”
Neighborhood: Buckhead
The steak is incredible, but that is not the only reason Hal’s is great. This steakhouse in Atlanta has plenty of non-steak options if you have someone in the party that prefers seafood. The restaurant is old school and comfortable, yet upscale. You will find New Orleans style menu options with a touch of Italian.

Pampas Steakhouse
Neighborhood: Johns Creek
Pampas Steakhouse is located in Johns Creek, this Argentinian style steakhouse is consistently rated as one of the best steakhouses in the metro area. Select your cut and the chef will cook your steak over a wood fire grill. The bone-in filet is delicious.

New York Prime
Neighborhood: Buckhead
Every cut of beef served is USDA Prime. This restaurant is consistently rated as one of the best steakhouses in the area. While this is a small chain with 3 locations, it still holds the old school charm we love from a great fine dining steakhouse.

Kevin Rathbun Steak
Neighborhood: Inman Park
This experienced chef has competed with the likes of Bobby Flay on Iron Chef America. This Inman Park restaurant concept features amazing steaks and seafood. The steaks are all USDA prime, unless you want to go for the Wagyu.

Cuts Steakhouse
Neighborhood: Centennial Park
Located in the Centennial Park district close to all the attractions, Cuts has choice and prime cuts of beef. You can also find some of your favorite classic southern food, like shrimp and grits.

Prime 120 Steakhouse
Neighborhood: Woodstock
The only place in town with prime dry or wet aged steaks, cuts of wagyu or Kobe beef. This is the restaurant in downtown Woodstock for premium cuts of beef that are cooked perfectly to order.
The chef finishes the steaks in Mugnaini wood ovens, which adds an additional layer of deliciousness.

Oak Steakhouse
Neighborhood: Alpharetta
The Oak Steakhouse is a traditional steakhouse with exemplary cuts of beef. This is one of our favorite restaurants in the Avalon. The restaurants concept originates from the Oak Steakhouse in Charleston, SC. The steaks include certified Angus steaks, Master Purveyors Dry Aged Steaks, and even Wagyu. Accompany your steak with wine from an extensive wine list.

McKendrick’s Steak House
Neighborhood: Dunwoody
Rated as one of the best steakhouses in the country, McKendricks has been serving prime steaks, for decades in Atlanta. While known for their steaks, they have a great seafood menu and potatoes just about any way you want them.
